i. Cookies

A cookie is a small piece of software that is inserted onto your computer browser or other web accessing device directories that permits our Website to recognize that you have been here before. This process is automatic and it is stored on your computer. If you do not want cookies to be stored on your computer, you can configure your browser not to accept cookies. Check in your browser’s help menu for instructions about how to deactivate cookies. You can also find instructions on how to manage cookies on the web, as well as information on how cookies work.

Cookies contain information that can be used to, for instance, create user statistics, and identify the browsers used by users. Many of these functions are used directly to improve our Website and your user experience. Cookies can be used to prepare statistics of how visitors use the Website. Zealand can use cookies to obtain information about your computer including your IP address, browser type, geographical location, length of visit and number of page views.

For such web use statistics, third-party cookies are used by Zealand. With such tools Website owners can improve their Websites. As a third party (for instance, Google) provides third-party cookies, these are not created by Zealand.

Zealand’s Website uses third-party cookies that are common on Websites. A cookie from Zealand cannot access information on the user’s computer, and it cannot spread computer viruses or any other harmful software. Cookies can identify an IP address but otherwise do not allow us to identify any individual user. If you do not wish to receive Cookies or wish to manage when you accept Cookies in general, you may set your browser to reject Cookies or to alert you when a Cookie is placed on your computer. Although you are not required to accept our Cookies, if you set your browser to reject Cookies, you may not be able to use all the features and functionality of the Website.

  • Measure how often a visitor has been on the site and when the visitor’s first and last visit took place.
  • Measure how much time a visitor spends on our Websites.

Zealand also uses data from:

  • Google
    • “Analytics” that employ cookies that provide information to us on how long a user spends on the Website and which browser the user has used. This cookie is deleted after 2 years. This time period is set out by Google.
    • “Search” that provides similar data to Google Analytics, but this cookie is deleted as soon as the user closes the search session.
  • YouTube. YouTube provides us with information on how long a video that is uploaded is viewed by a user and other details about the user’s general geographic location. It expires after 9 months.

ii. Internet tags. Occasionally, we may use Internet tags (also known as Web beacons, action tags, single-pixel GIFs, clear GIFs, invisible GIFs and 1-by-1 GIFs) on our Websites. Cookies and Internet tags are placed on different pages throughout our Websites. We also use them to measure responses to our Websites. We may deploy Cookies and Internet tags through our analytical service partners.
iii. Social Plugins. The Website may also use social plugins (e.g., the Facebook “Like” button) to enable you to easily share information with others. When you visit our Website, the operator of the social plugin may be able to place a Cookie on your computer, enabling that operator to recognize individuals who have previously visited our Website. For further details about the information shared via a social media plugin, you should refer to that social media Website’s privacy statement.

California Supplemental Privacy Notice

The California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (“CCPA”) gives California residents the right to know what personal information Zealand collects about them, including whether it is being sold or disclosed to third-parties, and the right to prevent Zealand from selling that information. We adopt this notice to comply with the CCPA. This Privacy Notice for California residents supplements the information contained in the Zealand Privacy Policy and applies solely to visitors, users and others residing in the state of California. It does not apply to our employees, contractors or business contacts. For this notice, capitalized terms as well as “we”, “our” or “us” have the same meaning as in the referring webpage.

Definition of Personal Information Under CCPA

This supplemental notice provides the information required under the CCPA and applies to both Zealand’s online and offline activities.

The types of Personal Information we collect and disclose depends on your relationship with Zealand. Not all of the categories listed below may apply to you. If the nature of your relationship with Zealand changes, additional categories of Personal Information may also apply. • Please note that we may also disclose data about you that is called “de-identified” or “aggregated” data. This type of information does not identify who you are so it is not personally identifiable. For example, we may publish reports that contain aggregate and statistical data about our customers. These reports do not contain any data that would let somebody contact, locate, or identify you.

Your Rights Under CCPA

For example, there may be a law that we have to follow that won’t permit us to delete your Personal Information.

INDICATION

ZEGALOGUE (dasiglucagon) injection is indicated for the treatment of severe hypoglycemia in pediatric and adult patients with diabetes aged 6 years and above.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

Contraindications

ZEGALOGUE is contraindicated in patients with pheochromocytoma because of the risk of substantial increase in blood pressure and in patients with insulinoma because of the risk of hypoglycemia.

Warnings and Precautions

ZEGALOGUE is contraindicated in patients with pheochromocytoma because glucagon products may stimulate the release of catecholamines from the tumor. If the patient develops a substantial increase in blood pressure and a previously undiagnosed pheochromocytoma is suspected, 5 to 10 mg of phentolamine mesylate, administered intravenously, has been shown to be effective in lowering blood pressure.

In patients with insulinoma, administration of glucagon products may produce an initial increase in blood glucose; however, ZEGALOGUE administration may directly or indirectly (through an initial rise in blood glucose) stimulate exaggerated insulin release from an insulinoma and cause hypoglycemia. ZEGALOGUE is contraindicated in patients with insulinoma. If a patient develops symptoms of hypoglycemia after a dose of ZEGALOGUE, give glucose orally or intravenously.

Allergic reactions have been reported with glucagon products; these include generalized rash, and in some cases anaphylactic shock with breathing difficulties and hypotension. Advise patients to seek immediate medical attention if they experience any symptoms of serious hypersensitivity reactions.

ZEGALOGUE is effective in treating hypoglycemia only if sufficient hepatic glycogen is present. Patients in states of starvation, with adrenal insufficiency or chronic hypoglycemia may not have adequate levels of hepatic glycogen for ZEGALOGUE administration to be effective. Patients with these conditions should be treated with glucose.

Adverse Reactions

The most common adverse reactions (≥2%) associated with ZEGALOGUE in adults were nausea, vomiting, headache, diarrhea and injection site pain; in pediatrics: nausea, vomiting, headache and injection site pain.

Drug Interactions

Patients taking beta-blockers may have a transient increase in pulse and blood pressure when given ZEGALOGUE. In patients taking indomethacin, ZEGALOGUE may lose its ability to raise blood glucose or may produce hypoglycemia. ZEGALOGUE may increase the anticoagulant effect of warfarin.
